Job Description
General Summary The facility manager is responsible for the general oversight of the building and grounds of the church to maintain safe, clean and pleasing appearance of the church in a fiscally sound manner. Handles routine maintenance tasks and minor building repairs. Oversees scheduled facility rental openings/closures. Works collaboratively with the property committee. Maintains confidentiality. Demonstrates and integrates the mission of the church into all behaviors and responsibilities. The position is a part time 10-15 hours per week position, with flexible scheduling. Because of the nature of church schedules it is recognized that the facility manager is expected to fulfill occasional evening and weekend responsibilities. Available and on call for emergencies. 1. High school diploma required. 2. Proficient in basic carpentry and electrical skills. Knowledge of basic HVAC and mechanical functions. 3. Uses tools and supplies in a safe, economical manner. 4. Able to access, read and follow instructions on Safety Data Sheets. 5. Understands and utilizes safe lifting skills, able to lift 40 pounds. 6. Possesses physical mobility in building and grounds activities including the use of tall ladders. 7. Maintains professional and technical knowledge of facility grounds and equipment. 8. Able to coordinate facility rental procedures. 9. Able to work independently with solid time-management and organizational skills. 10. Able to successfully pass a background check and drug test.
Reporting Relationship:
Reports to the Pastor.
Budgeted Compensation:
$15-$18 per hour, commensurate with experience. No benefits.
