Job Description
Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Critical Facilities Technician for a top government services client supporting a secure base in Oklahoma City, OK. This technician will be responsible for the hands-on operation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the facility's electrical, mechanical, HVAC, control, and life-safety infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a hands-on trades professional with experience in a data center or another large commercial, industrial, or mission-critical facility. This person must be comfortable performing equipment rounds, preventive maintenance, work orders, system monitoring, emergency response, and general facility duties.

Day-to-Day:
Operate and maintain electrical, mechanical, HVAC, control, and life-safety systems supporting a fully operational, mission-critical data center Monitor equipment and building systems through a computer Perform rounds, tours, inspections, and equipment readings throughout the site regularly Complete preventive and corrective maintenance while maintaining accurate documentation and operating records Spend approximately 10% to 15% of the shift responding to and completing work orders Troubleshoot generators, UPS systems, switchgear, PDUs, batteries, chillers, cooling towers, CRAC units, air handlers, pumps, motors, and BAS controls Assist with system recovery when critical issues occur Work closely with the Critical Facilities Leads, and other technicians Perform general facility-support duties as assigned Help maintain continuous site coverage, with at least two technicians required onsite at all times We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements High school diploma or GED Valid state-issued driver's license U.S. citizenship Have or be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance 3+ years of experience in a data center or comparable mission-critical environment, such as a power plant, oil refinery, hospital, or large commercial or industrial facility Familiarity with generators, transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS/STS, PDUs, CRAC/CRAH units, chilled-water systems, cooling towers, pumps, motors, VFDs, and BAS/PLC controls Have or be able to obtain OSHA 10 andNFPA 70E
certifications Basic computer proficiency (MS Office) Willingness to perform the full scope of facility duties, including general upkeep and tasks such as removing trash Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work on raised platforms, and perform work in confined, noisy, or varying-temperature environments Active Secret Security Clearance Active Oklahoma or reciprocal Journeyman Electrician License Active Oklahoma or reciprocal Journeyman HVAC Mechanical License CPR/First Aid certification Direct experience supporting a government, defense, or highly secure data centerBenefits
