Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Construction Project Manager to oversee planning, coordination, and execution of construction and renovation projects within the healthcare facilities of LECOM Institute for Successful Living. This position is responsible for managing projects from concept through completion while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, life-safety and department of health regulations, budget requirements, and operational continuity while providing oversight to facility-specific Maintenance Techs and Managers. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in healthcare construction, contractor management, capital project oversight, and collaboration with clinical and administrative stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Manage all phases of healthcare construction and renovation projects, including planning, design coordination, bidding, scheduling, construction, and closeout. Coordinate healthcare leadership and vendor services to ensure successful project execution. Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, contracts, and procurement activities. Monitor construction progress and ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget. Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, OSHA standards, Life Safety requirements, infection control protocols, and healthcare Department of Health and/or Department of Human Services regulations. Coordinate Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM) and Infection Control Risk Assessments (ICRA) during active construction. Conduct regular project meetings, site inspections, and progress reporting. Review and approve contractor pay applications, change orders, and project documentation. Minimize disruption to patient care and hospital operations during construction activities. Manage project risks and resolve issues related to scheduling, safety, quality, and operations. Maintain accurate project records, drawings, permits, and closeout documentation. Collaborate with facility operations, maintenance, and clinical departments to ensure project alignment with organizational goals. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of construction project management experience Experience in Healthcare, Long Term Care or Personal Care environments helpful. Knowledge of healthcare construction standards, codes, and regulatory requirements. Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in occupied healthcare facilities. Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
