There are direct reports with this position.POSITION SUMMARY
Under broad supervision, the Facilities Supervisor is responsible for providing day to day guidance, organization, direction and supervision to skilled laborers (HVAC Technicians, Electricians, and General Maintenance Workers). Employees in this job class will assign and oversee service orders, routine and preventative maintenance tasks, equipment projects and repairs and will ensure established time schedules are met. This job class requires knowledge and the ability to diagnose issues in HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing systems and carpentry (drywall, roofing and exterior structures).TYPICAL DUTIES
1.- Inspects the work of crews while in progress and provides advice and assistance to subordinates. 2.
- Investigates complaints and recommends corrective actions as necessary. 3. Schedules and prioritizes tasks, and ensures adherence to procedures, regulations and guidelines while minimizing errors and safety risks. 4.
- Prepares sketches of proposed work and assists in the design and specifications of planned jobs or contracts. 5.
- Oversees outside contractors. 6.
- Monitors status and results of maintenance projects and energy management programs. 7.
- Acts as a technical resource to field personnel and actively engages in field issues. 8.
- Participates in a variety of departmental and other meetings on a regular basis.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Three of more years of repair and maintenance experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry including at least one year in a supervisory role; Knowledge of operation, maintenance and repair of HVAC/refrigeration equipment; Skill in estimating time and materials and drafting proposals; Knowledge ofISO 9000
; Supervisory skills to hire qualified employees, provide for their professional development, administer performance management and disciplinary processes effectively, and address employee relations appropriately; Ability to effectively supervise and develop assigned team to meet production/service goals while adhering to safety policies and rules; Effective oral and written communication skills using appropriate business English; Demonstrated leadership, organizational, common sense and problem solving skills; Human relation skills to build effective relationships with team and customers; Effective customer service skills; Intermediate computer literacy including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software; Knowledge of business English including vocabulary and spelling; Fundamental mathematical ability including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; Ability to establish priorities and solve operational problems; Flexibility to respond to changing work priorities and handle numerous projects at the same time.EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Associates A comparable combination of formal education and work experience will be considered.CERTIFICATES OR LICENSES REQUIRED

Work is performed at a customer's location in office, shop, warehouse, or outdoor environment. May require driving to and from worksite locations. Equipment is located in crawl spaces, rooftops, and outside facility. Employees may be exposed to hazardous and/or toxic substances, electrical shock, noise from equipment, and depending on external weather conditions, wind, rain, cold, and heat.
