Job Description
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Jackson, is accepting applications for a full-time Facilities Support Associate located at the Stanton Extension Campus. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma (or equivalent) or technical diploma. Industrial maintenance, HVAC, & electrical training certificates w/strong background in computer operations preferred. Courteous and pleasant demeanor with co-workers and the public is required. Established work history, reference, and criminal background check will be required. Must know how to use chemicals safely and maintain a safe working environment. General Duties Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and general upkeep of the buildings and mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and structural elements. Observe safety practices in handling, storing, and using all equipment, chemicals, and materials. Maintain ample inventory of janitorial supplies. Keep facilities' mechanical rooms clean, orderly, and free from obstruction. Facilitate the daily removal of inside/outside trash from all buildings, lawns, and parking lots. Monitors building conditions, including security of the facility. Clean outside walkways and doormats and remove snow and ice from walkways when necessary. Performs security functions such as unlocking, locking, and checking doors and windows. Assists the Lead Facilities Coordinator with maintenance responsibilities. Travel to other campus locations to assist with maintenance functions as needed. Other duties as assigned by the Lead Facilities Coordinator and the President.
