Position Highlights Work location:
Texas Health Resources (Primary Location Fort Worth with some travel to other campuses on the West side of the metroplex) Core Work hours: Monday
  • Friday 8:00a
  • 5:00p Leads all aspects of facilities capital projects program for a hospital campus.
Leads multiple independent or inter-dependent projects on a given campus and provides leadership and direction to the project managers of the various disciplines involved (architects, contractors, IT, etc.) as well as a myriad of hospital and corporate user groups. Key Responsibilities Project Setup/Planning Management
  • Leads the preparation of all project budgets.
Works with the entity departments and user groups to assess needs and finalize project scope. Works closely with entity finance staff to create capital budget plans submissions to the THR capital budgeting process. Leads the planning and design process for projects to ensure the original project objectives are met. Drives the design process to keep the project on time and within its originally approved budget. Project Budgeting
  • Leads the "job cost accounting" for all projects. Creates the original budget and establishes cost codes, reviews and approves all contracts, change orders, and invoices. Ensures all costs are captured and accurately coded. Creates cost reports for leadership. Vendor Management
  • Leads the construction process for multiple ongoing projects. Negotiates all contract change orders with contractors. Establishes projecting phasing plans with hospital leadership in order to minimize and control negative impacts to ongoing hospital operations. Project Management
  • Manages and coordinates the efforts of various departments and user groups involved in the project.
This includes hospital engineering, security, infection control, etc. Also manages the efforts of THR System Services departments (Supply Chain, IT, etc.) to ensure their work is timely and is coordinated with the other project disciplines. Education Bachelor's Degree Required Experience 3 Years Architectural, Interior Planning, Design or Engineering Required 5 Years of Architectural, Interior Planning, Design, Engineering or Healthcare Construction Project Management Experience Strongly Preferred Healthcare Experience Strongly Preferred Skills Working knowledge of healthcare building codes, A/E and construction contracts, medical technology, and job cost accounting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills. Must have ability to lead multiple ongoing projects simultaneously. CADD; Windows; Excel; and CAFM experience.
