Job Description

Facilities Supervisor is a hands-on, onsite role responsible for supporting daily facility operations while providing direct supervision to a small janitorial team. This position balances facilities maintenance and service request support with oversight of a small cleaning team, ensuring the facility remains safe, functional, clean, and compliant with all health and safety standards.
Pay:
$25 - $27.50 per hour The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant's experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3 years of handyman experience or facilities maintenance experience.
  • 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Bilingual - Spanish & English
  • Working knowledge of general maintenance, HVAC basics, electrical, plumbing, and cleaning best practices.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also leading and supporting a small team.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Physical & Work Environment Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
  • May involve lifting heavy items and working in varying conditions.
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals, tools, and general facility environments. Facilities Maintenance & Service Requests
  • Perform routine inspections of the facility to identify maintenance, repair, or safety needs.
  • Complete light to moderate maintenance and repairs, including basic HVAC support, electrical, plumbing, touch-up painting, and general repairs.
  • Respond to and resolve service requests and work orders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, work orders, and inspections.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues and coordinate with facilities management or external vendors as needed.
  • Assist with office furniture setup, equipment moves, and minor facility improvements or projects. Safety, Compliance & Inventory
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with OSHA, health, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct safety inspections and report hazards or compliance concerns promptly.
  • Monitor, maintain, and order maintenance and cleaning supplies as needed.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and materials. Janitorial Supervision & Quality Control
  • Provide direct supervision to janitorial employees, including daily task oversight.
  • Ensure cleaning services are completed to client cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and address any deficiencies.
  • Train staff on proper cleaning techniques, equipment use, and safety protocols.
  • Respond to urgent cleaning requests or facility needs as they arise. Communication & Coordination
  • Serve as the onsite point of contact for daily facility and custodial needs.
  • Communicate regularly with facility management regarding maintenance issues, cleaning standards, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support special projects, events, or additional duties as assigned.
