Facilities Manager Hyatt House - 4.0 Bryan, TX Job Details Full-time 16 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Staff supervision Team supervision Handling customer service requests Managing facilities maintenance teams Full Job Description Facilities Manager is a hands-on position responsible for coordinating and overseeing the maintenance of all company equipment, building and property as well as laundry and housekeeping (in properties with no Head Housekeeper). Responsible for training, scheduling and evaluation of maintenance personnel while complying with brand standards and company policies. FM will ensure that all brand standards and hotel procedures are met. The following reflects the essential job duties but does not restrict tasks that may be assigned. Duties of this job may be changed at management's discretion.
Duties include:
Directly supervise all maintenance, laundry and housekeeping staff (in properties with no Head Housekeeper) Oversee the maintenance of the major hotel mechanical systems, including electrical, HVAC, television and satellite, elevators, plumbing, fire and safety systems Ensure all maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely, cost-effective manner according to all specifications Monitor the contract of the outside contractors for compliance and cost containment Evaluate and select vendors Maintains both the interior and exterior of the hotel, including painting, cleaning, repairs and additions Maintain entire pool and spa area including lifts, filters, filtering systems and all other machinery Follow pool and spa cleaning and maintenance schedules Schedule repairs and maintenance with the General Manager as to not interfere with hotel operations Maintain and updates SDS sheets Know all PAR levels and inventory Schedule labor according to needs Train, supervise and evaluate maintenance and/or room staff May prepare daily duty sheet for room attendants Check computer system for up-dates of room status Supervise the work that room attendants and laundry attendants do and take corrective action in case where staff members' work is below standard Inspect rooms for cleanliness and compliance (in properties with no Head Housekeeper) Act upon guest requests Check staff levels to ensure department is adequately staffed Be fully compliant with housekeeping/maintenance brand and corporate procedures Follow Preventative Maintenance schedule for cleanliness, condition and safety of property Ensure compliance with energy conservation and job safety requirements Proactively maintain assigned areas and equipment Check and maintain emergency generator Frequent standing, walking about the property Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing and crawling Move, lift, carry and place objects weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance and in excess of 50 lbs. with assistance Ensure efficient completion of daily assignments in a timely manner Report all safety concerns to management Attend and participate in all mandatory trainings Flexible with schedule and assignments Maintain effective performance under pressure Prepare accurate and timely reports as required May perform similar duties as requested by supervisor
