Job Description

Job Overview The Facilities Coordinator supports the daily operations of campus facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and fully functional environment for students, faculty, and staff. This role oversees supply management, inventory control, vendor coordination, custodial operations, and general maintenance activities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive with strong communication skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards within an educational setting. Responsibilities Perform general maintenance and custodial duties, including repair and installation of fixtures in classrooms, restrooms, and offices. Operate and maintain power equipment and hand tools for upkeep of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, and grounds. Maintain campus grounds, including mowing and edging, as needed. Inspect and maintain playground areas to ensure safety standards are met. Assist with summer projects such as painting, floor care, and furniture relocation. Respond to maintenance emergencies and report issues as needed. Assist in the preparation and monitoring of facilities and maintenance budgets. Track expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities. Order custodial, maintenance, and operational supplies. Maintain appropriate inventory levels to support uninterrupted operations. Track and manage inventory of tools, equipment, and facility assets. Conduct routine inspections to ensure proper storage and maintenance of equipment. Review and respond to service requests through an internal ticketing system, ensuring timely and high quality completion. Coordinate set-up and breakdown of furniture and equipment for campus and community events. Maintain and support the campus events calendar. Assist with office moves, workstation set-ups, and furniture arrangements. Coordinate with vendors for services including HVAC, landscaping, pest control, and repairs. Schedule vendor services to minimize disruption to instructional time. Ensure vendor compliance with school policies, safety standards, and contractual obligations. Support compliance with all applicable health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Supervise custodial staff to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met. Conduct regular inspections of facilities and address concerns promptly. Provide support during cafeteria service, as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills Education:
High School diploma or higher education required.
Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in facilities management, property administration, or a related field preferred.
Licenses & Requirements:
Valid Texas Driver's License with an acceptable driving record. Successful completion of a pre-employment physical exam. Strong organizational and time management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Intermediate/advanced knowledge of maintenance procedures and safety practices. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally lift or move objects exceeding 100 pounds with assistance. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and operating equipment for extended periods of time.
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
