Job Description
Sterling Personnel is seeking an experienced, highly hands-on Facilities Manager to oversee operations for a large-scale industrial facility in Plano, Texas. This role requires a proactive leader with strong maintenance, operations, vendor management, and tenant service experience. The ideal candidate thrives in warehouse and industrial environments and can independently identify and resolve facility issues before they become emergencies. Key Responsibilities Conduct daily inspections of the building perimeter, parking lot, and facility grounds to identify safety, cleanliness, and maintenance concerns. Inspect common areas, dock doors, hardware, lighting, signage, and warehouse operational areas. Coordinate janitorial services and ensure bathrooms, kitchens, and shared spaces remain clean, stocked, and well maintained. Manage preventative maintenance programs and perform hands-on repairs when appropriate. Troubleshoot and address plumbing issues, leaks, locks, doors, drywall, lighting, and general facility maintenance concerns. Inspect and maintain roof systems, drains, dock systems, and warehouse racking areas. Coordinate vendors, contractors, and facility improvement projects to ensure timely and quality completion. Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and completed work. Support tenant operations, package coordination, and overall facility flow. Maintain organized maintenance rooms, storage areas, tools, and equipment inventory. Respond professionally and promptly to tenant concerns and operational requests. Qualifications Experience managing facilities within warehouse, industrial, or large commercial environments. Comfortable working in a warehouse and industrial setting. Available to respond to emergency after-hours situations when needed. Strong communication, organizational, and vendor coordination skills. Proactive mindset with a strong focus on preventative maintenance and operational excellence. Ability to prioritize tasks independently and manage multiple facility needs simultaneously. Preferred Hands-On Technical Experience Electrical troubleshooting Plumbing repairs and leak diagnosis HVAC filter changes and basic troubleshooting Dock door and man door adjustments Painting and drywall touch-ups Concrete and metal repair coordination Vendor and project coordination Warehouse safety practices and preventative maintenance Ideal Candidate We are seeking a detail-oriented, professional, and service-minded individual who can confidently manage a large industrial facility while delivering an exceptional tenant experience. Pay:
