Full Job Description Operations Services Specialist Location:
Richardson, TX Pay Range:
$20.00 - $30.00 hourly, depending on experience
Work Schedule:
Full-Time, Monday through Friday QBS Controls is seeking an Operations Services Specialist to help drive the day-to-day operations behind our commercial HVAC controls and building automation projects. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing procurement, project administration, customer documentation, and construction billing while supporting multiple projects from kickoff through completion. You'll partner with Project Managers, vendors, field personnel, and the accounting team to ensure projects run efficiently and stay on schedule. Benefits Package Paid Holidays Paid Vacation

retirement plan with 4% company match 100% company-paid health insurance premiums for employees and their families Key Responsibilities Enter and maintain project information in accounting and project management systems Track material deliveries, backorders, and resolve order issues Order materials and coordinate deliveries for active projects Prepare monthly project billings and supporting documentation Obtain vendor quotes and manage purchase orders Support Project Managers with submittals, RFIs, change orders, and closeout documentation Organize and maintain project files and documentation Communicate with vendors, customers, Project Managers, and field technicians to keep projects moving smoothly Coordinate project meetings and track action items Manage subcontractor documents, including insurance certificates and W-9s Required Qualifications At least two years of experience in operations support, purchasing, or project coordination Knowledge of construction documentation and progress billing processes Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills Professional verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications Previous experience with a mechanical, electrical, HVAC controls, or building automation contractor Familiarity with Sage 100 Contractor or similar software Experience preparing AIA billing applications (G702/G703) Working knowledge of building automation systems (BAS/BMS), HVAC controls, or low-voltage construction Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related discipline
