Facilities Manager Location:
Heber, UT Status:
Full-Time Hours:
Monday-Friday; 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Also subject to occasional after-hours work.
Pay/Salary:
$65,000-$75,000 Summary The Facilities Manager plays a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and functional campus environment. This position oversees custodial and maintenance operations, supervises facilities staff, and ensures that campus buildings, grounds, and systems operate efficiently. The Facilities Manager is responsible for coordinating daily operations, implementing maintenance plans, managing service requests, and supporting campus safety and emergency response efforts. This position serves as a leader within the Facilities team and helps ensure a positive experience for students, employees, and visitors. Why Work with Us? What You'll Do:
Responsibilities of the Facilities Manager include, but are not limited to: Supervise custodial and maintenance staff, including scheduling, training, performance oversight, and daily work assignments.

Develop, maintain, and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Implement and maintain the Facilities Operations and Maintenance Plan in accordance with DFCM standards.

Serve as the campus RISK Coordinator and support workplace safety initiatives.

Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs involving electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and general building systems.

Manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring work orders are accurately created, tracked, completed, and reported.

Maintain campus buildings, classrooms, offices, restrooms, common areas, and grounds to ensure a clean and safe environment.

Monitor building systems and maintain working knowledge of facility materials, systems, and applicable code requirements.

Coordinate vendor services, including floor care, recycling, pest control, and snow and ice removal.

Respond to building alarms, emergency maintenance issues, campus closures, and adverse weather events.

Assist with facility improvement projects, repairs, and operational enhancements.

Maintain service records, inventories, maintenance logs, and other operational documentation.

Operate campus vehicles, equipment, and tools safely and effectively.

Perform administrative duties and other related responsibilities as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
Education Requirements:
A high school diploma or GED is required.
Experience:
A minimum of two years of facilities, maintenance, custodial, or related experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
Licenses:
A valid Utah driver's license. The ability to obtain forklift certification after hire.
Technical Skills:
Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, building maintenance, and repair practices.
Computer Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Google applications, email, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Leadership Skills:
Strong supervisory, training, communication, and team-building skills.
Problem Solving:
Ability to prioritize tasks, resolve issues independently, and adapt to changing campus needs.
Organizational Abilities:
Excellent scheduling, time management, and recordkeeping skills.
Safety Awareness:
Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and ability to train others on safe work practices. Ready to Apply?
