Job Description
Ensuring that the glamping locations are operational, safe, functional, and well-maintained so that guests can fully utilize and enjoy all of the amenities. Situated just minutes away from some of the country's most popular national parks, our locations range in size from 40-100 glamping tents, many of which have their own showers, toilets, and wood burning stoves. The sites can also include a laundry facility, restaurant, communal bathhouses, storage areas, well houses, woodshed, and team member housing (either on or off site). The Facilities Supervisor is the on-site maintenance expert, overseeing, training, and performing maintenance tasks with the Facilities Team. This position is year-round, non-exempt. Responsibilities Think critically to respond and react quickly to ever changing situations onproperty Able to problem solve to resolve issues safely andefficiently Deliver clear expectations to the team in all operationalareas Professional in all internal and external communications Help and support guest and team member issues quickly andefficiently Interview and collaborate with GM on hiring of Facilities teammembers Participate in delivery of performance reviews for teammembers Deliver corrective actions to teammembers Prioritize goals and delegate tasks on a regular basis for facilities staff while working in conjunction with the camp General Manager Able to run the camp and work independently with minimal oversight in the event the GM or AGM areunavailable Find ways to streamline processes to maximize efficiency and resourceuse Establish andmaintainrelationships with local businesses andcommunities Be growthoriented Evaluate, develop, and report on NPS andeNPSactionplans Maintain the departmental budget by managing Facilities'purchasesand updating checkbook of operating expenses to match business needs and to meet monthly and yearly financialgoals Oversee and perform routine and preventative maintenance for all aspects of the property including infrastructure elements, tents, and maintenanceequipment Perform key tasks in planning of capital purchases and projects throughout theyear Createsynergyacross property departments through strongleadership Meet with team members to support their growth anddevelopment Create positive work environment that is guest-focused Ensure that all camp-level SOPs and expectations are implemented, updated, andmaintained Collaborate with other members of camp management and the corporateteam Assistwith maintenance needs for staff housing asneeded Prioritize taskseffectively Participate in camp level and company-widemeetings Submit high quality work productsin a timelymanner Promote company sustainabilityinitiatives Other duties asassigned Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Experience as maintenance technician minimum of 2 years with at least 1 year of supervisory experience Experience in infrastructure systems including plumbing, septic, gas, electrical, generators, landscaping, road maintenance, and water/wellmaintenance Provide input andassistGM in annual build of maintenance departmentbudget Competently perform duties in absence of GM and AGM Demonstrated commitment to delivering high quality customerservice Goal-oriented, results-driven, strong interpersonal and communication skills Communicate in a clear and professionalway Interact with a friendly, enthusiastic, positiveattitude Demonstrate sound judgement, follow direction, and take decisiveappropriateaction Learn, embrace, and train team on company policies, practices, andprocedures Strong organizational skills to execute and prioritize multipletasks Ability to work independently and meet deadlines on assignedprojects Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite Participate in educational and trainingopportunities Additional Information This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protectiveequipment,when applicable. This position requires that the individualisable to lift a minimum of 45lbs independently. Ability to work in extreme weather conditions including but not limited to heat, cold, rain, snow, humidity, and wind.
