Job Description
"The purpose of this position is to help bring God's children unto Jesus Christ by increasing understanding of His Church and its divinely appointed responsibilities of assisting in gathering Israel on both sides of the veil and preparing the world for the Second Coming of the Savior. This is accomplished in part through the creation of engaging, unified messaging with greater reach and efficiency. Church messages are delivered via television, film, web, print, mobile, social media, and other delivery channels in multiple languages. We always seek new, improved, and more innovative ways to bring the world unto Christ. The Program Manager oversees the products and project management effort in a project portfolio. The Program Manager is a key resource in ensuring initiating department publishing products are coordinated and aligned in the Product Publishing Process (PPP). They are a main interface for relationship management with external clients. This is a senior level role." Required Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field. 7 years Program and/or Project Management experience. Ability to make informed, complex decisions using data. Ability to understand and manage medium to large business operations. Ability to lead medium to large teams and projects using influence. Ability to champion process and policy. Ability to get results in a matrix organization. Excellent presentation and communication skills to senior level leaders. To successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for long periods of time and using computer monitors/equipment.
Preferred:
Master's degree with 5 years Program. Project Management experience. PMP certification. Responsible for the success of projects with moderate to high levels of complexity and will normally oversee teams of Producers/Project Managers, as well as coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders and operations teams across the portfolio. Work complexity is normally focused on larger projects and products, including recurring maintenance programs, capital renewal efforts, and initiative-based workstreams, regularly providing leadership in product launches. Maintain relationships and favorable contacts with customers including Product Managers, Directors, Managing Directors, Church Officers, and General Authorities, as well as Operations Managers, Facility Managers, regional leadership, and external vendors/contractors. Resolve customer issues/problems, sit in on customer product planning and leadership meetings, and participate in coordination and alignment discussions related to maintenance programs and project execution. Ensure the projects and products delivered to clients meet their strategic and project plans, including alignment to long-term maintenance strategies and portfolio priorities. Work with product manager to establish project prioritization within the program/product plan, including support of resource planning and alignment with operational needs. Communicate status of program and deliverable project(s), including updates to leadership and key stakeholders on program performance, risks, and execution progress. Approve projects based on the business case, budget, and resource availability, and alignment with program and product plan, including smaller operational projects and recurring program workstreams. Utilize project management tools, CMMS/work order systems, and reporting to monitor and report on program and project health, identify trends, and recommend operational improvements. Administer and approve product change controls, including changes related to recurring maintenance programs and initiative-based projects. Provide product-level financial forecasting quarterly, including support of budget planning, recurring maintenance forecasting (3- 7 year planning horizons), and alignment of forecasting inputs. Other Duties a s Assigned including: Oversee and manage recurring maintenance programs across the portfolio (e.g., gym floor, asphalt, and other facility maintenance programs), including planning, scheduling, and vendor performance management.
