$10,000 Warm Hearth Village is seeking an experienced, motivated, and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as the Director of Nursing (DON) for the Kroontje Health Care Center Skilled Nursing Facility. This leadership role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of residents while guiding a dedicated clinical team committed to excellence in long-term care. Reporting to the Administrator, the Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall clinical operations of the unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care in compliance with all state and federal regulations. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong clinical expertise, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for mentoring and developing nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and oversight for daily nursing operations within the skilled nursing facility. Ensure residents receive compassionate, individualized, and high-quality care. Maintain compliance with all applicable state and federal long-term care regulations. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary departments to support resident outcomes and organizational goals. Lead, mentor, and develop nursing staff to foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and excellence. Conduct audits, monitor quality indicators, and implement process improvements to enhance clinical performance and regulatory compliance. Develop and maintain effective systems and procedures that support operational efficiency and exceptional resident care.
Required Qualifications:
Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Virginia State Board of Nursing. Thorough knowledge of state and federal regulations governing Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) and long-term care operations. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a Director of Nursing role or other nursing leadership position. Demonstrated leadership, team-building, and staff development skills. Strong analytical, auditing, and organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting.
