Job Title:
Facilities Manager Job Description The Facilities Manager is responsible for planning the utilization of space and facilities to ensure organizational efficiency. This role involves directing and managing all phases of equipment and machinery maintenance, facilities modification, and building projects. The Facilities Manager will oversee the establishment of design concepts, through to design and implementation, ensuring all project requirements are defined, contracts are negotiated, and budgets are established. Responsibilities Plan and utilize space and facilities in line with organizational efficiency and available resources. Direct and manage equipment and machinery maintenance, facilities modification, and building projects. Ensure project requirements are defined and contracts are negotiated, including any changes. Establish operating budgets and identify financial terms and conditions of contracts. Act as the primary contact for facilities, equipment, and machinery maintenance, and project activities. Lead project reviews focusing on cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans, budgets, and schedules. Identify problems and develop solutions, such as resource allocation or project scope changes. Coordinate the work of employees assigned to the project. The role requires adaptability and expertise in managing various facilities and project management tasks within a dynamic environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Newport News, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
