FLSA:
Non-Exempt Your Impact Installs, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs industrial and commercial equipment (e.g., HVAC systems, chillers, boilers, engines, motors, air compressors, pumps, switchgear, conveyors, cardboard shredding and baling equipment) with limited supervision.- Repairs and maintains all plant maintenance equipment in accordance with national and state codes. May specialize in one or more of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, controls, mechanical, or refrigeration.
- Performs regularly scheduled maintenance on the heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, compressed air systems, power and lighting systems, pumping systems, and drainage systems.
- Replaces faulty electrical components of machines, such as relays, switches, motors, starters, and position sensing devices.
- Troubleshoots and makes repairs to equipment utilizing hand tools, power tools and test equipment.
- Dismantles machinery to gain access to, remove and replace defective parts.
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Upgrades and modifies equipment to improve operation.
- Maintains logs reflecting scheduled readings and any repairs, modifications, and upgrades.
- Operates hydraulic articulating lifts to perform maintenance.
- Uses company Lan based computer system to order parts and services related to repair and maintenance operations, check/create e-mail, browse internet for equipment manufacturer information, submit leave forms.
- May be assigned additional duties and/or special projects.
About You:
The Skills & Expertise You Bring- Journeymen in HVAC preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience, and 4-6 years of HVAC maintenance or construction experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical training or certificate in electrical, HVAC or refrigeration preferred. CFC certification preferred. Experiencewith computers, PLCs and direct digital control desired.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to work in cold, heat, noise, dust, around mechanical and electrical hazards, and in environments with gas, vapors, and/or particles.
- Must be able to work in tight spaces, climb, reach, lift up to 50 lbs., walk and stand continuously.
- Overtime may be requested and may be assigned to other shifts or on call status based on company needs.
- Shifts are 8 hours and/or 12 hours rotating every 3-4 months.
