Category Safety/Compliance Type Regular Full-Time Overview Directs the daily activities of the facilities department. Oversees the functioning of building systems including mechanical, fire/life safety, elevators, and security etc. Oversees contractors for facilities renovation projects entailing HVAC, electrical, production floor arrangement, etc. The Facilities Manager receives authority from, and reports directly to, the Director of Safety and Compliance. The Facilities Manager position is responsible for all aspects of facilities maintenance and service delivery objectives for the operations designated by the reporting authority. The responsibilities of the position include the application of company resources required to meet operational commitments. The Facilities Manager is accountable for delivering quality products and services to all JK units while adhering to set budgetary and profit target guidelines. Responsibilities Ensures regulatory compliance with all local, state, federal licenses, permits and building code requirements, DOT and OSHA regulatory requirements. Ensure completion and documentation of service requests related to facilities Conducts routine inspections with department leaders to maintain quality of warehouse and facility grounds Direct report for all structural improvements and or alterations. Maintains security protocols and building access information. Coordinates contract bid process for required repairs, alternations, or improvements. Directs program activities in accordance with JK policies and procedures. Coordinates internal movement of employees and space reconfigurations Ensures all preventive maintenance of facility components are completed and documented Responds to urgent events including sprinkler, building alarms, climate-controlled area events Management of services including office cleaning, snow removal, landscaping, etc. Plan and budget annual facility expenses Coordinates with agencies and others to promote sustainability initiatives Attends and participates in Operations Department meetings to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, new task efforts, and new policy requirements.

On-Call Facility Contact for emergency needs Qualifications Practical experience related to facility management, to include construction and mechanical areas of expertise. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, special projects, expansions, and renovations. Requires a variety of tasks and a high degree of creativity and latitude, and resourcefulness is required. Leads and directs the work of others. Professional presentation; strong oral and written communication skills; analytical and problem-solving experience directly related to facility activities. Demonstrated staff management, project management, and contract/vendor negotiations required.
