Join our dynamic team and be part of one of Washington's favorite casino resorts, delivering exceptional customer service in an exciting and entertaining environment! Located just off I-5 at exit 236, The Skagit is definitely a great place to work. Our Facilities Shift Supervisor is responsible for the overall function and cleanliness of all property areas. They complete all necessary repairs and modifications to assigned and plant systems. They will assist the Director and Manager in the programming, coordination, scheduling and timely implementation of all repairs, modifications and property cleaning duties. They will support the Director/Manager in building and maintaining a team atmosphere both within and across departments through effective communication, leadership, coaching and employee development.
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED required. Specialized training, related college coursework, or certificate preferred. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in facilities supervision at a comparable property. Must have experience / knowledge in at least two of the following areas or similar areas: repair of mechanical and electrical equipment, repair of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and life safety systems. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Outlook and the Internet as well as other databases and demonstrate effective email communication. Must possess a valid Washington State Driver's License and maintain an acceptable driving record in order to operate company vehicles. Sense of urgency and motivation, and high-level of personal integrity and self-accountability. Must have strong customer service and customer responsiveness skills, and have the ability to communicate in a pro-active and professional manner. Must be effective at listening to, understanding and objectively handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary. Ability to work well under pressure and flexible in adapting and responding to changing situations. Must be solutions and results-oriented, have superior organizational skills and ability to multi-task, and be a role model for the surrounding team. Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and have knowledge of basic arithmetic functions, to perform accurate calculations as needed. Must maintain a professional demeanor at all times and be able to perform under busy situations. Must be able to supervise and train line level staff, to include following all company requirements for hiring, evaluating, coaching/counseling, performance management, and termination policies. Must be able to work independently under limited supervision; solve problems involving differing situations, requiring creativity to search for solutions among learned and unlearned alternatives. Frequent analysis, independent judgment and discretion are required to determine appropriate courses of action.
