As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Center Facilities Supervisor to oversee daily facility operations and lead a team of maintenance professionals within a hyperscale data center environment.

Position SummaryThe Data Center Facilities Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating facility maintenance operations, ensuring critical infrastructure systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. This position provides leadership to a team of multi-skilled technicians responsible for HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and general facility maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and experience working in mission-critical or industrial environments.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team ManagementSupervise and coordinate daily activities of facilities technicians and maintenance personnel.

Serve as the primary point of contact between on-site operations teams, contractors, vendors, and client representatives.

Assign, prioritize, and monitor preventative and corrective maintenance work orders.

Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to team members to support performance and professional development.

Conduct daily shift meetings, safety briefings, and operational updates.

Support employee performance evaluations, development plans, and staffing needs.

Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Facilities Operations & MaintenanceOversee preventative and corrective maintenance activities for HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.

Ensure all critical infrastructure systems are maintained according to established procedures and industry best practices.

Monitor facility equipment performance and coordinate troubleshooting efforts to minimize downtime.

Support facility inspections, audits, and operational readiness assessments.

Coordinate vendor activities, maintenance shutdowns, and project work within the data center environment.

Conduct regular facility walkthroughs to identify operational concerns, safety hazards, and maintenance needs.

Ensure compliance with site procedures, environmental standards, and regulatory requirements.

Work Management & PlanningManage work order execution through Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).Review maintenance schedules and coordinate resources to ensure timely completion of tasks.

Track maintenance metrics, equipment performance, and facility reliability indicators.

Assist with inventory management, procurement requests, and spare parts tracking.

Support planning and execution of facility improvement projects and infrastructure upgrades.

Safety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and client requirements.

Promote safe work practices and ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Participate in incident investigations and corrective action planning.

Maintain compliance documentation, permits, safety records, and maintenance reports.

Support emergency response activities and serve as an escalation point during critical events.

Administrative ResponsibilitiesReview and approve technician time records and attendance.

Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports for site leadership.

Maintain accurate asset records, maintenance documentation, and compliance reports.

Communicate effectively with leadership, clients, and cross-functional teams regarding operational status and project updates.

QualificationsRequired ExperienceMinimum 2 years of facility maintenance experience in commercial, industrial, manufacturing, mission-critical, or data center environments.

Prior supervisory or leadership experience managing maintenance teams.

Technical KnowledgeUnderstanding of building systems including:

HVAC equipmentElectrical distribution systemsMechanical systemsPlumbing systemsBuilding automation systems (BAS)Experience using CMMS platforms and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace applications.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance procedures.

Education & CertificationsRequiredHigh School Diploma or GED.Valid Driver's License.

PreferredOSHA 30 Certification.

HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, or Facilities-related certifications.

Trade School, Technical Degree, or Associate Degree in a related field.

Data Center Operations or Critical Environment certifications.

Physical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods.

Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions.

Ability to safely navigate mechanical spaces, equipment rooms, and active work environments.

Ability to wear appropriate PPE and work in environments with elevated noise levels.
