The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently operating various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, and clamp trucks, to facilitate the safe and accurate movement of goods within the warehouse. This role is essential in maintaining smooth warehouse operations, ensuring inventory accuracy, and supporting shipping and receiving functions. The ideal applicant will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety standards, possess excellent manual handling skills, and have experience working in fast-paced distribution environments. Duties Safely operate forklift trucks, reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment in compliance with OSHA and company safety protocols. Load and unload shipments accurately using barcode scanning technology for logistics management. Pick orders efficiently utilizing order picker equipment and ensure correct items are selected according to order specifications. Manage inventory by conducting regular stock counts, updating warehouse management systems (WMS), and maintaining accurate records. Assist in shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation. Perform routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure operational safety and efficiency. Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing materials for storage or dispatch while adhering to heavy lifting and manual handling guidelines. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow, improve safety practices, and implement process improvements. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency across all warehouse operations. Skills Proven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning for logistics tracking. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation and materials handling. Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory management and order accuracy. Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, heavy lifting techniques, and manual handling best practices. Experience with warehouse distribution processes and inventory control methods. Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while adhering to safety protocols.
