POSITION SUMMARY
A Forklift Operator, or Material Handler, is a certified warehouse or shipping associate responsible for controlling heavy machinery to move materials around a work site. Operates forklifts or other devices by loading and unloading productucts and storing or relocating materials within the warehouse or shipping dock areas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Loads and Unloads trucks in a timely manner. Distributes parts to appropriate warehouse locations. MUST scan all materials moved into and out of Warehouse Management System (WMS). Gathers empty pallets and racks for suppliers return. Keeps empty pallets and cardboard bails loaded on designated trailers and keeps area clean. Keeps inside bailer area clean and free of debris. Checks dock doors daily to verify they are in working condition and report findings to supervisor. Puts away all incoming material after received and released by Quality Control. Pulls material for pick locations, repack, and other areas of the facility. Keeps all aisles clear of trash and obstruction. Adheres to Safety requirements and PPE. Support and follows EHS objectives. Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERINCE
High School Diploma or GED. Must have Forklift Certification and understand operations and care of the equipment. 1+ years' experience preferred. Able to understand and perform scanning in
WMS. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Warehouse or plant work environment with fluctuations in temperature (hotter in the summer, cooler in the winter). Exposure to certain noise levels and bright lights.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to squat, bend, walk, stoop. Ability to focus for extended periods of time. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
