In this vital role, you will operate various types of heavy equipment, including stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, and clamp trucks, to efficiently handle materials and support warehouse distribution operations. Your expertise will ensure safe, accurate, and timely loading, unloading, and movement of goods within our facility. Responsibilities Safely operate stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load and unload shipments. Perform order picking using specialized equipment such as pickers and other warehouse management system tools to fulfill customer orders accurately. Manage materials handling tasks including stacking, organizing, and transporting goods within the warehouse. Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure machinery remains in optimal working condition. Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation. Support warehouse management system data entry for inventory tracking and order processing. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage layouts and improve overall warehouse distribution efficiency. Requirements Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts (including stand-up forklifts), reach trucks, clamp trucks, and Hi-Lo lifts in a warehouse environment. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation and materials handling. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting, load & unload tasks, and extended periods of standing or walking. Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately. Warehouse experience with shipping & receiving procedures and order picking processes. Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
