Long Term The Driver (IT Warehouse Logistics Technician) is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the client's IT warehouse and staging environment in support of business-as-usual (BAU) deskside, field, and project teams, with a primary focus on delivery and transportation of IT assets. This role owns receiving, inventory accuracy, stock control, imaging and staging, kitting, transporting, and delivering equipment across Southern California , shipping, and asset disposition for the client's end-user computing fleet. The position is hands-on, combining logistics, driving, and technical responsibilities supporting hardware refresh waves, new hire onboarding, terminations, break/fix swap stock, and project deployments. The role requires daily reporting to the Irvine, CA warehouse (Monday-Friday) , where the driver will load a company vehicle, complete deliveries to Client's locations, and return to assist with warehouse operations. While the primary focus is delivery and warehouse operations, this position also serves as a flex resource for general deskside support, IMAC execution, and remote site deployments when needed. This is a fully onsite role with frequent local driving within the Southern California Region. Essential Functions Driving and Delivery Operations Report daily to the Irvine, CA warehouse. Load, secure, and transport IT equipment using a company-provided vehicle. Execute timely and accurate deliveries to Client's locations across the Southern California region. Maintain delivery logs, tracking, and chain of custody documentation. Ensure safe vehicle operation, cleanliness, and issue reporting. Warehouse Operations and Inventory Management Operate the IT warehouse and staging area according to client standards. Receive inbound shipments; verify packing slips, serial numbers, and condition. Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and reconciliation with asset systems. Manage stock levels and notify leadership of low inventory. Maintain organized storage, labeling, and staging zones. Imaging, Staging, and Kitting Image and configure endpoints (laptops, desktops, mobile devices). Build and prepare deployment kits for users and projects. Perform quality checks before shipment or deployment. Shipping, Deployment, and Chain of Custody Pack and ship hardware to remote users and sites. Coordinate local pickups and deliveries. Maintain accurate records for all asset movements. Asset Lifecycle and Disposition Process returned hardware including intake, evaluation, and secure data wipe. Coordinate vendor returns and IT asset disposition. Maintain audit-ready documentation. Ticket and Queue Management Manage ITSM tickets related to hardware and logistics tasks. Meet SLA requirements and maintain accurate documentation. Flex Support for BAU Teams Assist with deskside support and IMAC activities as needed. Support deployments, refresh projects, and site readiness tasks. Travel to remote client locations when required. Minimum Qualifications Must be based in Orange County, CA . Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to safely operate a company van for daily deliveries . High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of experience in IT warehouse, logistics, or asset management. Experience with inventory control and asset tracking systems. Experience supporting Windows endpoint deployments. Ability to lift and move equipment weighing 30 lbs. or more . Experience working within ITSM systems (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.). Preferred Qualifications 3-7 years of IT warehouse, logistics, or deployment experience. Experience with Intune, Autopilot, SCCM/MECM. Knowledge of secure data destruction (NIST 800-88). Certifications such as Comp
TIA A+, ITIL.
