Job Description

Shipping and Receiving Associate Company is a reputable metal recycling yard located in South Gate, CA. We are seeking a reliable and experienced Shipping and Receiving Associate to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a sit-down forklift and a strong understanding of shipping, receiving, and material handling processes. Experience in a metal recycling environment is a plus.
Location:
South Gate, CA Pay Rate:
$20.00•$22.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule:
Monday•Friday, 7:00 AM•3:30
PM Occasional Saturdays Responsibilities:
Perform daily shipping and receiving duties, including loading and unloading trucks. Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the yard and warehouse. Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality. Maintain organized and accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and inventory. Assist with sorting and staging materials for recycling operations. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area. Communicate effectively with supervisors, drivers, and other team members.
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of shipping and receiving experience preferred. Sit-down forklift certification or experience required. Experience working in a metal recycling or industrial yard is a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an outdoor environment. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a preferred. Strong attention to detail and reliability. Team-oriented attitude with good communication skills. Resume and interview process is required. Successful candidates will be subject to a background check.
