POSITION SUMMARY
The Lift Truck Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, load, unload, stack, stage, and transport raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods throughout the facility. This position plays a critical role in supporting production, warehouse, and shipping operations while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS
Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and in accordance with company policies and OSHA regulations. Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers with raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products. Transport materials to and from production lines, warehouses, and storage locations. Stage materials for production and shipping based on work orders and production schedules. Perform inventory transactions using warehouse management systems, scanners, or manual documentation as required. Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report equipment defects or maintenance needs promptly. Ensure proper product handling and storage to prevent damage and maintain product integrity. Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, including quantities, lot numbers, and product identification. Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and production environment in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and 5S principles. Follow all food safety, quality, and sanitation procedures, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE). General Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management. All other duties as assigned. Regular and punctual attendance. Work scheduled shifts, weekends, and extended hours as required.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.) required. Three to six months related experience and/or training preferred. Or equivalent combination of education and experience Strong problem-solving skills. Strong ability to count, add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, and record, balance, and check results for accuracy. Ability to read and interpret written information. Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information. Knowledge of safe forklift operation and OSHA powered industrial truck regulations. Demonstrated ability to meet productivity standards. Observes safety and security procedures, reports potentially unsafe conditions. Good written and verbal communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate professionally with customers and co-workers. Have a strong work ethic and be able to work independently as well as work in a team. Follows policies and procedures. Uses equipment and materials properly. Demonstrates attention to detail, a professional attitude, and produces accurate work product. Must be proactive. Must have a cooperative attitude. Must have the ability to follow-up. Must be able to work in a fastpaced environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
PHYSICAL DEMAND
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
