Job Description
Overview Join our company as a Shipping & Receiving Forklift Operator, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods through efficient warehouse operations. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing your forklift skills and inventory management expertise to support order fulfillment, shipping logistics, and overall warehouse distribution. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will help us maintain high standards of safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Duties Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load and unload shipments, transport materials within the warehouse, and stock inventory accurately. Manage inbound and outbound shipments by verifying shipping documents, inspecting packages, and ensuring proper handling according to trade compliance and international trade regulations. Assist with order picking, packing, and order fulfillment processes to ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining safety standards. Conduct regular inventory counts; reconcile discrepancies and report issues promptly. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and distribution area to promote safety, professionalism, and efficiency. Collaborate with the office to coordinate shipping schedules, optimize load & unload procedures, and ensure compliance with shipping logistics protocols. Experience Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment; certification is preferred. Familiarity with warehouse operations including stocking, packaging, order picking & packing, and inventory management software. Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures along with knowledge of trade compliance and international trade regulations. Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for data entry and reporting purposes. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and external partners, including drivers, and customers.
