Shifts:
12 hr.-Day, Night (Mon-Fri) AND Weekend (Fri-Mon) Shifts 💲
Pay:
Starting at $16.00+/hour , Based on Experience 💰

As an Industrial Electrician, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the electrical systems that keep our sawmill operating safely and efficiently. You'll troubleshoot electrical issues, install and maintain industrial equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and work alongside our maintenance team to minimize downtime. Reports To:
Planer Mill Supervisor What You'll Do Verify that lumber tickets accurately reflect the size and lengths of each lumber pack. Ensure stacking sticks are properly positioned on all lumber packs. Assist with the setup, operation, and maintenance of machine centers according to Standard Operating Procedures. Monitor equipment and help clear lumber or equipment hang-ups. Assist with routine lubrication and maintenance of equipment as needed. Work alongside forklift operators to ensure crossouts are placed correctly. Complete production tallies, downtime reports, and other daily production documentation. Safely stop or reset equipment when malfunctions occur, clear jams when appropriate, and report issues to the supervisor. Maintain a clean and organized work area free of lumber, debris, and other hazards. Assist other operators and team members as needed to keep production moving efficiently. Participate in action-planning and continuous improvement activities. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. What We're Looking For Be able to follow written and verbal instructions. Have basic math skills and strong attention to detail. Be able to identify and communicate equipment or production problems. Be comfortable working around moving machinery, mechanical components, vibration, and industrial equipment. Understand basic machine operation and be able to recognize when equipment requires attention. Be able to monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure equipment is operating properly. Be capable of performing routine equipment maintenance tasks and recognizing when additional maintenance is needed. Work effectively with limited supervision. Arrive on time, remain focused, and contribute to production and team goals. Work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment. Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, stretch, twist, and reach for extended periods. Perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the work shift. Lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift. Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Work around loud equipment and machinery. Work safely while wearing a harness at heights greater than 4 feet. Maintain the physical stamina necessary to perform the essential functions of the position. Safety Comes First At Rex Lumber, safety is everyone's responsibility.
Team members are expected to:
Follow all company and department safety procedures. Wear required PPE including hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and other protective equipment. Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures before servicing equipment. Inspect work areas and electrical equipment before beginning work. Report unsafe conditions or malfunctioning equipment immediately. Use proper lifting techniques and request assistance when necessary. Never enter restricted areas or approach operating saws. Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment. Follow OSHA regulations and all company safety policies.
