The Skid Steer / Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating skid steer loaders and forklifts to support construction site activities. The operator assists with material handling, site preparation, loading/unloading, and general support tasks while adhering to safety standards and project requirements.
Earnings Potential:
You earn travel time to each project, $60/day meal assistance and then travel time to get a weekend home two weeks later. Your hotel room is paid for or a lodging per diem of $120/day and in addition to your hourly rate, you are working consistent overtime. Our rate of pay is generally between $23 and $26/hour depending on your experience. For example, if you earn $24/hour: $960/week

$93,600/year (this excludes any bonus, medical premium subsidies or retirement contributions you will earn from us) Key Responsibilities Equipment Operation Operate skid steer loaders and forklifts safely and efficiently. Load, unload, and transport construction materials, pallets, and supplies. Assist with grading, backfilling, earthmoving, and debris removal using skid steer attachments. Perform daily equipment inspections, maintenance checks, and report any issues. Assist with grout plant operations (mixing, pumping, and monitoring grout flow). Site Support Support site crews with material movement, staging, and distribution. Maintain organized storage of materials and equipment. Assist in preparing job sites, including cleaning and leveling work areas. Light manual labor as needed for equipment and testing assembly Safety & Compliance Follow OSHA and company safety policies at all times. Conduct pre-operation safety checks and complete equipment logs. Maintain clear communication with ground crews, spotters, and supervisors while operating equipment. Coordination & Communication Work closely with site supervisors and crew members to meet productivity goals. Report daily activities and equipment need. Qualifications Valid forklift and skid steer operator certifications (as required by OSHA or local regulations). Minimum 2+ years of experience operating skid steers and forklifts in a construction or industrial setting. Knowledge of equipment attachments and safe handling procedures. Ability to follow site plans and supervisor instructions. Strong attention to safety, detail, and site awareness. Physical ability to work outdoors in varying conditions. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license required. Must be willing to travel to job sites up and down the East Coast. Working Conditions Outdoor construction or warehouse environments. May require overtime, nights, or weekend work depending on project needs. Physically demanding; requires lifting, bending, and long hours of equipment operation. Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation) Must be able to lift and carry materials such as steel beams, drill steel, steel rods, equipment parts, and pieces weighing up to fifty pounds frequently; prolonged standing, walking, sitting, and keyboard use/repetitive hand motions. Occasionally, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching/working overhead, and climbing into equipment are required daily. A full range of arm, hand, and leg motions is required to operate construction equipment. The ability to move through the job site. Work is performed outside, occasionally in environments that are dusty, noisy, cold, or hot. Near-vision acuity is required to inspect repairs and maintenance, read blueprints, manuals, and other similar documents. and adequate far-vision for spotting approaching equipment.
