Forklift Operator
DEPARTMENT
: Shipping
SHIFT DAYS
: Sunday-Thursday
SHIFT HOURS
: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM
REPORTS TO
: Shipping Manager
RATE OF PAY
$19.10 per hour
TOTAL NUMBER OF POSITIONS

Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice. Works anywhere in the plant, as needed. Performs work as directed by supervision. Keeps the work area clean and organized. Moves racks of glass and other items from one area of the plant to another as needed. Willing and able to learn how to operate Rico Reads and comprehends safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals, along with other similar documents. Communicate with other departments as needed. Wear all the required personal protective equipment (PPE) for the specific job. Wears all the required personal protective equipment for the specific job. Works as a Cardinal team member, not a specific department member. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Required Skills/Abilities :
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High School Diploma or equivalent Forklift experience required. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to operate hand switches and knobs. Ability to operate the overhead crane while changing the battery. Ability to use pen/pencil to complete documentation clearly. Ability to memorize the names and sizes of all types of racks. Must possess basic inventory knowledge. Must be computer literate and be familiar with Microsoft Office and Strada. We are a substance free workplace. Working in a safety sensitive work environment requires a pre-employment physical.
