Forklift Operator/Laborer

JW Turf Farms is looking for a full-time forklift operator who will be responsible for assisting the Farm Manager with various farm-related tasks as well as transporting and assisting the stacking crew to and from nearby farm locations. This potential candidate must be able to carry out written and oral instructions, possess clear verbal communication skills, be willing to work with a team, be self-motivated, and have reliable transportation to and from work.

Position Requirements:

A valid driver license with an acceptable MVR and a minimum of two years driving experience. Safely drive, maneuver and maintain forklift with a minimum of six months forklift operating experience. Experience with loading semis is helpful, but not required. Employee may work up to six days a week year round. Weekends may not be full days. Position may require building and repairing of pallets, fence lines, etc.. Follow and uphold JW Turf Farms Drug Free Workplace Policies and Procedures. Physical Requirements:

Be able to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Be able to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stretch and squat for long periods of time. Be able to physically withstand up to 11-hour days year-round, with farm conditions including but not limited to summer heat, rain, mud, extreme dust during dry/drought periods, limited shade conditions during some work tasks, thorns, pests, etc. JW Turf Farms Inc., is a Drug Free Workplace and an Equal Opportunity Employer.
