Forklift Operator Job Description We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. This role involves operating forklifts to load and unload materials, ensuring the efficient handling of products in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Operate forklifts, including stand-up, propane, and electric models, for 90% of the job. Unload raw materials from incoming trucks, placing them in designated areas, and verify counts. Load trucks with the correct raw materials and finished goods, ensuring accurate product counts. Supply bottles to the production lines efficiently. Perform daily checks on the forklift for oil, water, and other essentials, adding as necessary. Adhere to company policies and safety requirements, representing the company positively. Work overtime when needed and maintain cleanliness of work areas at the end of shifts. Understand and apply SQF standards, ensuring Food Safety/Food Quality, and report issues appropriately. Potential opportunity to work in the office for those who demonstrate aptitude and ability. Essential Skills Proficiency in operating forklifts, including stand-up, sit-down, and reach trucks. Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency. Ability to read and write in English. Forklift certification is mandatory. Capability to lift and move more than 60 pounds occasionally. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with RF scanners and inventory management. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
