Job Description
Forklift Operator Job Description This role involves operating sit-down, stand-up reach, and cherry picker forklifts in a high-volume distribution environment. You will handle materials throughout the facility, including consistent lifting of up to 50 pounds, palletizing products, and performing case selection and order picking throughout the shift. Responsibilities Operate sit-down forklifts, stand-up reach trucks, and cherry picker forklifts safely and efficiently throughout the shift. Perform palletizing and case selecting tasks continuously to support production and distribution schedules. Handle material movement, including loading and unloading trailers and trucks using forklifts and pallet jacks. Support shipping and receiving activities, including verifying, loading, and unloading shipments. Use pallet jacks and other material handling equipment to transport products as needed. Perform general labor duties related to material handling, including heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis. Maintain accurate inventory handling while moving, picking, and staging products. Essential Skills At least 2 years of experience operating reach forklifts. At least 2 years of experience operating cherry picker forklifts. Proven ability to operate sit-down forklifts and stand-up reach trucks safely. Ability to consistently lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift. Experience with palletizing, case selecting, and order picking. Hands-on experience with material handling, loading, unloading, and pallet movement. Proficiency using RF scanners for picking and inventory-related tasks. Experience supporting shipping and receiving operations in a warehouse or distribution center. Ability to use pallet jacks and other warehouse material handling equipment. Comfort working in a fast-paced production and distribution environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in a distribution center or warehouse environment. Experience in general labor roles involving heavy lifting and material handling. Familiarity with inventory handling processes and production support tasks. Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures. Strong attention to safety when operating forklifts and handling materials. Why Work Here? You should expect to be on your feet for most of the day, frequently lifting up to 50 pounds and moving materials across the facility. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arlington, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
