Back Forklift Operator | 2nd and 3rd Shift Available | Direct-Hire Logistics/Warehouse Augusta , Georgia Apply Now Share this Job Share this Job Objective Drive the future of mobility with us as a Second and Third Shift Forklift Operator with Nemak in Augusta, GA. In this role, you will safely, accurately, and efficiently move materials, finished goods, packaging, and racks throughout the plant and warehouse areas while supporting production, shipping, receiving, inventory accuracy, and internal material flow. This is a direct-hire opportunity. Shift Second Shift | Monday to Friday | 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM Third Shift | Monday to Friday | 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM Pay Pay of $22 per hour Required Education and Experience High school diploma or
GED. 1-3
years of warehouse/manufacturing material handling experience. 1-3 years of forklift operation experience in an industrial environment. Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification. Preferred Education and Experience 1 year of shipping, receiving, or internal logistics experience. 1 year of experience with scanning systems and labels. Position Requirements Advanced forklift operation skills with a strong focus on safety and housekeeping practices. Experience with material handling, storage, loading, and unloading in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Knowledge of inventory processes and material identification. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP. Experience using RF scanners, barcode systems, and material scanning processes. Effective communication skills with the ability to adapt to changing operational needs. Strong focus on execution, speed of action, and taking initiative. Ability to work effectively as an individual contributor. Demonstrates key competencies including Business Perspective, Accountability, Assertiveness, People Development, Ingenuity & Creativity, Change Management, Collaboration, and Driving Engagement. Main Responsibilities Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and in compliance with plant safety procedures, supporting safe operation and zero safety violations. Move raw materials, work in process (WIP), finished goods, empty racks, bins, and other packaging materials to the correct storage or production locations, completing scanning movements in SAP and support on-time material delivery to production. Supply production areas with required materials according to schedule and internal flow requirements while supporting inventory accuracy. Load and unload trucks accurately while following shipping, receiving, and material identification requirements to support shipping and receiving accuracy. Verify material labels, quantities, rack condition, and storage locations before movement or staging to support FIFO compliance. Support FIFO and materialsupporting traceability requirements through correct material handling and location discipline while maintaining housekeeping and 5S compliance. Perform daily equipment inspections and report forklift damage, safety concerns, or maintenance needs. Maintain warehouse and staging areas in a clean, organized, and audit-ready condition. Support inventory accuracy through proper handling, scanning, transaction confirmation, and discrepancy reporting. Follow standard work, work instructions, quality requirements, and escalation procedures for damaged or nonconforming material. Perform other duties as assigned.
