Full Job Description Job Description:
Under general supervision, Lift Truck Operator (LTO), Warehouse Worker will ensure safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of food products utilizing equipment including, but not limited to sit down and stand-up forklifts, stand up straddle trucks, walk behinds, pallet jacks, double pallet jacks and radio frequency equipment.
Job Duties and Expectations:
Follow all health and safety procedures and regulations as dictated by the organization and the state Operate the forklift safely with constant awareness of the people and environment around you Ensure the forklift is properly stored, charged, cleaned, and ready to operate Perform a Safety inspection of equipment prior to use Operate/Interact with an RF scanning system to update inventory activity, lists, records, and log all completed tasks Move materials from to and from pick-up locations, or other locations within the warehouse and production areas Stack and organize inventory as needed Load/Unload trucks and deliver inventory to its proper location Collaborate with other departments to streamline and coordinate tasks
Qualifications/Required Skills:
1-2+ Years of sit down and stand-up forklift experience. Active forklift certification a plus RF scanner knowledge Shipping & Receiving experience in a cold storage facility, specifically around the food or beverage industry Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, inventory control, quality control, lean manufacturing
Basic Computer Skills Physical and Other Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age Must be able to regularly lift and/or move 20lbs., frequently lift and /or move 25 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Must be able to stand for long periods of time Must be able to stand, kneel, squat, sit, and climb as needed
Leadership:
Highly motivated, hands-on, results driven, forward thinking professional who can thrive in a team-oriented fast paced environment.
Communication:
Communicate professionally in English through oral and written communication. Excellent radio communication skills and outstanding customer service is a must.
