Forklift Operator I -1st Shift

Summary We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator I to join our warehouse team. This role involves operating stand-up (reach), sit-down forklifts, and electric pallet jacks to support daily warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in material handling, inventory management, and shipping/receiving processes. This position may also be called upon to train others.

Functions of The Position:

Pick work order demands and stage products for production use. Accurately pick products to fulfill customer orders and load trucks. Ship orders using WMS scanning equipment and complete outbound paperwork. Unload trucks/containers, verify receipts, and receive inventory into the system. Inspect trucks and transfer processed products to storage. Operate shrink-wrap machine and maintain warehouse cleanliness. Conduct equipment battery changes and pre-op inspections. Rotate inventory using FIFO or FEFO methods. Report discrepancies and issues to the warehouse supervisor. Support food safety and quality standards including GMP, HACCP, FSMA, and SQF. Promote a safe work environment through proper safety practices and observations. Collaborate with team members and participate in ongoing development.

Qualifications Education & Experience:

Minimum 6 months of forklift operation experience. General warehouse experience preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

Basic math skills. Ability to read, write, and speak English (preferred). Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork. Ability to stand for 8-12 hours and lift up to 55 lbs.
