Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a dynamic Sit-Down Forklift Operator in Canton, GA. In this fast-paced and rewarding role, you will be responsible for safely transporting bulky raw materials using specialized extended, tapered forks, keeping production lines humming, and collaborating with a dedicated warehouse team. IN A SIT-DOWN FORKLIFT OPERATOR JOB YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Safely operate a sit-down forklift equipped with extended, tapered forks to maneuver, lift, and transport large raw materials (such as corrugated cardboard rolls and heavy stacks) throughout the facility.
- Load and unload trailers, transport goods to designated staging areas, and ensure materials are neatly organized.
- Maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace and perform routine daily equipment inspections.
- Communicate effectively with production and logistics teams to keep manufacturing lines supplied without delay.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Proven experience operating a sit-down forklift, preferably within a manufacturing, logistics, or corrugated cardboard/packaging environment.
- High comfort level and precision handling extended, tapered forks for large or awkward loads.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to OSHA guidelines.
- Ability to stand, sit, and maneuver for extended periods in a warehouse setting.
- Reliable attendance, great communication skills, and a team-first attitude.
