Job Description

The Warehouse Operator will:

Operate a powered forklift to move, stack or load materials throughout production, warehouse, storage and shipping/receiving areas or buildings. Perform daily forklift safety check and may perform minor servicing and maintenance of powered lifts.

Track, code, or mark materials and merchandise using hand-held electronic inventory devices. Insure accuracy of each scan to maintain inventory integrity in AS400 systems.

Pick and move materials and supplies from warehouse to production areas working from production schedules, bill of material or as requested by production.

Keep records of materials on hand and on order. Update inventory system. Conduct cycle counts and monthly/term inventories, as instructed.

Receive, store and issue stock of plant materials and supplies, following well-defined procedures.

Report shortages and assist in putting away stock, maintaining storage locations, and updating inventory.

Prepare bills of lading or packing lists for finished goods shipments.

Verify outgoing orders to ensure shipments are complete and correctPrepare completed pallets for movement, such as stretch wrapping and adding additional movement protection. Weigh and address parcels or crates of merchandise or materials, attach postage or creates and attaches bills of lading, and maintains records of goods shipped. Shipping/Receiving and Forklift Experience
