Job Description

The Forklift/Mule Operator supports the sustainability efforts facilitating the movement of incoming and outgoing products through the warehouse & manufacturing area. Has experience in forklift operations. Follows all Safety, GMP, and Food Safety policies and procedures. Participating in daily team safety meetings Operating a forklift with proficiency Operating a forklift within 30 to 60 days of provided training Keeping accurate records of transactions being performed on inbound and outbound material Identifying contaminants (wood, plastic) in baled materials, sorting as necessary. Ensuring a safe work environment throughout the facility by removing debris from warehouse areas Assisting team members throughout the warehouse & manufacturing as needed
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED One (1) year or more of experience operating a forklift to load and unload trailers in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Willing and able to work in a manufacturing plant environment, including extended periods of time in refrigerated, noisy, non-air conditioned or unheated areas. Willing and able to work any shift, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed. Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling. Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations including wearing safety equipment. Willing and able to work in hot, humid, cold, and noisy manufacturing environment. Willing and able to lift/ pull up to 50 lbs. Willing and able to wear the necessary Personal Protection equipment (PPE) (i.e. hard hats, safety glasses, face shield, ear plugs, hearing protection, steel-toe boots or safety shoes and other PPE required by specific jobs).
Preferred Qualifications:
Two (2) years or more of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse & manufacturing environment. Experience in food manufacturing
