Forklift Operator Job Description Join our dynamic team as a Forklift Operator where you will be responsible for operating a stand-up forklift for the entirety of your role. You will pick orders using an RF scan gun or handheld device while navigating through a pick system that provides mapped product locations. The role requires utilizing an order picker to reach heights up to 26 feet, with the use of a safety harness. You will frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs in a large, non-climate-controlled warehouse. Responsibilities Operate a stand-up forklift 100% of the time. Pick orders using an RF scan gun or handheld device. Navigate and work from a pick system with maps for product locations. Utilize an order picker to heights up to 26 feet with a harness. Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs regularly. Maintain a high standard of attendance and reliability. Essential Skills Proficient in operating a stand-up forklift. Experience with RF scanners. Strong skills in order picking and inventory management. Ability to frequently lift materials weighing 50 lbs. Comfortable working at heights up to 26 feet. Work Environment Work in a large, non-climate-controlled warehouse with a team size of approximately 32 in the warehouse and 40 in kitting. The facility offers a fast-growing, highly profitable location. The work schedule includes two shifts: 1st shift from 6am to 2:30pm and 2nd shift from 2:30pm to 11pm, with the first day starting at 8am for the 1st shift and 2:30pm for the 2nd shift. Enjoy two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Experience a strong sense of team with monthly catered meals. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bondurant, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
