Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced 2nd Shift Reach Truck Driver to join our dynamic warehouse team. This vital role involves operating reach trucks and other material handling equipment to efficiently manage inventory, facilitate shipping and receiving, and support overall warehouse operations during the second shift. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse management systems, safety protocols, and equipment maintenance, ensuring smooth distribution processes and a safe working environment. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced logistics operation with a focus on accuracy, safety, and productivity. Responsibilities Operate reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse. Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and order picking with precision to meet shipping schedules. Utilize barcode scanning technology for logistics tracking and inventory management. Maintain accurate inventory records through proper use of warehouse management systems. Support shipping and receiving processes by verifying orders, inspecting goods, and ensuring proper documentation. Perform routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure compliance with forklift safety protocols and OSHA standards. Assist in warehouse distribution tasks such as stacking pallets, organizing storage areas, and optimizing space utilization. Follow safety standards in production environments by adhering to OSHA guidelines and warehouse safety procedures. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate order fulfillment, stock replenishment, and materials handling activities. Participate in regular safety training sessions to uphold high standards of warehouse operations. Qualifications Proven experience operating reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, forklift trucks, or similar material handling equipment. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning for logistics purposes. Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, inventory control, and order picking processes. Strong understanding of forklift safety protocols and OSHA regulations related to heavy equipment operation. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper technique. Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy. Prior experience in warehouse management or supervision is a plus. Excellent attention to detail combined with effective communication skills. Ability to work efficiently on the second shift in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
