at Aerotek in Naperville, Illinois, United States Job Description Forklift Driver $20 1st 2nd 3rd shift Job Description This role focuses on supporting the shipping department within a busy production facility. You will work primarily in the warehouse while regularly crossing over to the production floor to collect finished goods and return them to the shipping area for outbound delivery. The position requires safe and efficient material handling, accurate inventory tracking, and the use of forklifts and RF scanning equipment in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

+ Supply materials to production lines in a timely and accurate manner to support continuous manufacturing operations.

+ Monitor and maintain material flow, ensuring inventory levels are accurate and materials are available where and when needed.

+ Wrap skids and palletize products to prepare finished goods for safe storage and shipment.

+ Use an RF scanner to track materials, update inventory records, and verify shipments.

+ Operate reach trucks to load trucks and transport materials within the warehouse and between warehouse and production areas.

+ Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move, stage, and organize materials and finished goods.

+ Occasionally operate a cherry picker to access and move materials stored at height, following all safety procedures.

+ Prepare and ship products using carriers such as UPS and FedEx, following shipping instructions and documentation requirements.

+ Work in both the warehouse and production areas as needed, maintaining clear communication with team members and supervisors. Essential Skills

+ At least 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or production environment.

+ Ability to read, write, and speak English to follow instructions, complete documentation, and communicate with team members.

+ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment with changing priorities.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required during material handling and shipping activities.

+ Basic computer literacy, including the ability to use systems for inventory and shipping tasks.

+ Strong attention to detail when tracking materials, labeling products, and verifying shipments.

+ Experience with material handling in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.

+ Ability to safely operate reach trucks and stand-up forklifts in a production or warehouse setting.

+ Familiarity with using RF scanners for inventory control and material tracking.

+ Ability to follow safety procedures and operate equipment in a safe and responsible manner. Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous experience as a material handler in a manufacturing environment.

+ OSHA forklift certification.

+ Basic knowledge of JDE systems for inventory or production management.

+ Familiarity with kanban systems and lean manufacturing principles. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Naperville, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00
