The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating powered industrial equipment to pick, move, and stage materials while maintaining accuracy and productivity standards. Job Details

$18.00 - $19.00/hour Key Responsibilities

• Operate cherry picker forklift (order picker) to accurately retrieve and move materials from racking systems.
• Perform put-away, Picking and replenishment of products following warehouse procedures.
• Ensure all orders are picked accurately and efficiently according to pick tickets or RF scanner instructions.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections to ensure forklifts are operating safely.
• Assist with loading and unloading trailers when needed.
• Communicate any product shortages, damages, or location discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required protective equipment.
• Support other warehouse departments as needed to meet business demands.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership to achieve daily operational goals. Skills & Experience
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic English language proficiency preferred. Preferred Qualifications
• Minimum 1 year of experience operating a turret, reach and cherry picker forklift (order picker) in a warehouse or distribution environment required.
• Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain through Summit Staffing).
• Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems preferred.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed. Work Environment
• Positions available on 1st, 2nd, and Weekend shifts .
