Job Description

NexTerra Wine Co. is the 3rd largest winery outside of California. We produced over 800,000 cases in 2020 and continue to grow. This position is based at our 125,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility located in Woodridge, IL (1-55 & 1-355 intersection). NexTerra Wine Company is looking for a full-time Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The Forklift Operator will support activities related to the handling of materials and goods throughout our facility. The hours for this position are Monday-Thursday , 6:30 am - 5pm. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Stage packaging materials to be used by the production team the following days
  • Accurately count inventory of various packaging materials
  • Cover breaks for forklift operators in other areas as needed
  • Assist with movement of finished goods and materials for production lines
  • Work across our production, dock, and warehouse operations
  • Moves finished product and materials using forklift and or pallet jack
  • Use our Warehouse Management System (WMS) and mobile scanner
  • Restock packaging materials from previous day's production
  • Put away packaging materials received in by the loading dock that day
  • Move products and materials safely and efficiently, and without damage
  • Keep aisle clear and adheres to established zoning protocols
  • Handle all documentation of goods in accordance with NexTerra's procedures
  • Adhere to company health and safety protocols, quality control standards, and standard operating procedures.
Requirements:
  • Full Time Availability, Monday through Thursday
  • Ability to complete materials counts and record results on paper and using mobile scanners
  • Ability to effectively understand and communicate English is required. Ability to speak Spanish a plus
  • Must possess a minimum of two years' experience in a stand-up forklift
Competencies:
  • Reach Forklifts experience a plus, but not required
  • Experience using mobile scanners and warehouse management systems a plus
Physical Job Functions:
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs frequently
