1st Shift Forklift Operator 04:00a - 1pm

AMC MSM, a division of Patrick Industries, is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our growing team! Job Duties :

Champion safety policies by setting an example and wearing all required PPE, including steel-toe shoes. Complete pre-operation forklift inspections via computer or tablet at the start of each shift. Load coils onto cutline/slitters to ensure smooth production runs. Move completed orders to the banding area for final processing. Stage coils in advance to reduce downtime and improve efficiency. Track materials and update inventory. Communicate effectively with production teams, supervisors, and group leads to anticipate material needs. Verify and identify parts, reporting any shortages or damaged materials. Maintain a clean and organized work area , including performing housekeeping duties as needed. Pick materials for sales orders and assist with inventory organization. Ensure high levels of accuracy in all documentation and material handling. Maintain reliable attendance and be prepared to perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

High level of organization Ability to remain in a sitting position for approximately 50% of the shift or less depending on workload. Good sense of balance and good eye/hand/foot coordination. Ability to mount/dismount the forklift as necessary Ability to work in variable temperatures and weather as some forklifts (covered) will move inside/outside plants. Bending, twisting, kneeling as needed, lifting up to 50 lbs as needed and push/pull up to 75lbs. Strong attention to detail and high degree of attention to surroundings Must be goal oriented as they will be responsible for meeting deadlines. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities:

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, production-driven environment. Comfortable maneuvering forklifts in tight spaces and high-pedestrian areas. Ability to read and understand product labeling and measurements. Capable of operating material tracking systems . Goal-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Strong communication skills to work effectively with partners and supervisors. Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work collaboratively in a team setting.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to physical mount/dismount the forklift throughout shift. Must be able to remain in a prolonged sitting position. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., and push/pull up to 75lbs. Bending, twisting, and kneeling as needed.

$18.00 - $21.00 per hour
