Job Description

Borkholder Buildings & Supply has been engineering, designing, and supplying buildings since 1962. By using our 60 years of experience in the building industry and incorporating the principles discovered in the field of energy conservation, we continue to develop more efficient structures for our customers benefit. The Forklift Operator position assists customers by loading and unloading items they have purchased. Forklift Operator will receive and stock lumber, build customer orders for shipment, load items onto delivery equipment, and keep the Yard organized and clean. Worker must be able to operate a forklift and will be exposed to occasional heavy lifting. This position must work effectively and efficiently with Customers, Borkholder Management, and Borkholder Employees. Basic math skills and ability to read tape measure are required. Responsibilities Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them in assigned places Locate materials and build customer orders for shipment Transport raw materials to production workstations Assist customers by loading and unloading items they have purchased Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs Comply with company policies and legal guidelines Help maintain a clean, safe and orderly environment of the facilities Perform other duties / projects assigned by the department manager Skills Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment Excellent physical condition and coordination Basic math skills Ability to read a tape measure
