Ongoing Forklift Operator Opportunity TRG Staffing Solutions is currently hiring experienced Forklift Operators for a high-volume manufacturing and distribution operation in Sellersburg, Indiana. This role requires strong sit-down propane forklift skills, warehouse awareness, inventory accuracy, safe material handling, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. Attendance Incentive Program All employees may earn an additional hourly attendance bonus each week based on attendance and reliability: 0 occurrences: Additional $1.00/hour 1 occurrence: Additional $0.50/hour 2 or more occurrences: No attendance bonus When earned, the attendance bonus applies to all hours worked during the week, including overtime hours, and is paid through the normal payroll process. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a sit-down propane forklift in a high-volume warehouse and distribution environment. Use forklift controls smoothly and safely, including steering, braking, maneuvering in tight spaces, and proper fork and mast positioning during travel. Safely mount and dismount the forklift and follow proper forklift parking procedures. Understand load stability and the forklift stability triangle when moving materials. Complete required pre-use forklift inspections and inspection checklists. Safely change propane fuel cylinders following required procedures. Load and unload trucks only when dock doors, lift gates, dock locks, and trailer conditions are confirmed safe. Move and position large variations of heavy containers and materials safely. Use RF scanners and warehouse systems to support material movement, tracking, and inventory accuracy. Identify materials using labels, barcodes, and warehouse location information. Count inventory accurately and report discrepancies immediately. Support FIFO, min/max, and just-in-time material flow requirements as applicable. Maintain good housekeeping standards and a safe, organized work area. Wear required PPE, including safety vest and forklift seatbelt, and follow all site safety requirements. Required Skills & Experience Previous sit-down forklift experience and strong general forklift knowledge required. Previous propane forklift experience required. Warehouse and/or distribution experience required; high-volume warehouse experience strongly preferred. Experience loading and unloading trucks safely. Ability to operate safely around dock doors, lift gates, and dock locks. Knowledge of safe material handling practices and strong situational awareness. Ability to read warehouse location maps and understand material locations. Basic computer knowledge, including RF scanner use. Ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations. Safety-conscious and able to maneuver equipment carefully in tight spaces. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to commute reliably to the Sellersburg location.
