Job Description

Forklift Operator - 1st Shift Lucas, KS Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing, is seeking a 1st Shift Forklift Operator to join our Material Handling team at our facility in Lucas, KS. This position works Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays, as required.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide safe movement of parts to required staging areas or locations. Ensure correct part identification and delivery to correct location is a must to maintain inventory accuracy. Complete preventative maintenance on all equipment used. Ensure paperwork from vendors is accurate. Load and unload trucks. Flexibility to work with other departments and operate other equipment. Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment. Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Must have forklift license or ability to obtain one Experience safely operating a forklift or similar equipment helpful Excellent written and verbal communication skills Understand team concepts and be a strong team player Ability to excel in fast-paced, high-pressure situations Ability to use and understand AS400 software Ability to read blueprints, use tape measure, and read calipers Great Plains Manufacturing, headquartered in Salina, KS, is a proud subsidiary of Kubota with more than 50 years as a Kansas leader in the design, engineering and manufacturing of agricultural implements, including seeding, tillage, and landscaping equipment.
