Job Description

Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Material Handler to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations by efficiently and safely operating forklifts to move, load, and unload materials. The Forklift Material Handler will contribute to maintaining an organized and productive warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
Forklift Operations:
Safely operate forklifts to move materials within the warehouse. Load and unload trucks, ensuring the proper stacking and securing of materials. Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
Material Handling:
Assist in the loading and unloading of materials from pallets, shelves, and storage bins. Verify and document the quantity and quality of materials received or shipped. Utilize equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and dollies when necessary.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety guidelines, protocols, and regulations during forklift operation. Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly. Participate in safety training programs and promote a culture of safety awareness.
Inventory Control:
Keep accurate records of materials moved, ensuring proper documentation. Assist in periodic inventory counts and reconciliation. Report discrepancies or shortages to the appropriate personnel.
Collaboration:
Coordinate with warehouse team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks. Communicate effectively with other departments to fulfill material handling requirements.
Qualifications:
Valid forklift operator certification preferred Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting. Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to forklift operation. Ability to lift and move heavy materials. Attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects for extended periods. Comfortable working in varying temperature conditions within a warehouse environment.
Education and Experience:
