Forklift Operator - 1st shift

Great Plains Mfg has an opening for a 1st Shift Forklift Operator in the Material Handling Department at the Salina CE1 Facility . This position works Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide safe movement of parts to required staging areas or locations Ensure correct part identification and delivery to correct location is a must to maintain inventory accuracy Conduct preventative maintenance on all equipment used Ensure paperwork from vendors is accurate Load and unload trucks Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment. Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

Must have forklift license or ability to obtain one Excellent written and verbal communication skills Understand team concepts and be a strong team player Excel in fast paced, high-pressure situations Ability to use and understand AS400 Ability to read prints and be able to use tape measure, calipers, etc. as required At Great Plains Manufacturing, our people make the difference, making our company a great place to work and grow.
